My Story

Hello, I’m Yaa! I am the owner of From Heartbeat to Cradle. I’m a proud mother of five, with children ranging from 2 year old to a 19 year old college student. Did I mention, my 2 year olds are a set of twins! My journey into motherhood has deeply shaped who I am and how I serve others. I’ve experienced first hand through my own struggles for support, as well as speaking with mothers in mom groups or close to me, that there was a vast need for reliable non bias support.

I’ve been a certified birth and postpartum doula since 2017, supporting families throughout the Charlotte area and parts of South Carolina. My goal is to provide compassionate, personalized care for every family I work with. Whether it’s through birth support, postpartum care, or guidance along the way.

I specialize in breastfeeding education, cesarean birth support, and caring for families expecting multiples. I also offer sibling doula support, helping older children feel included and confident as they welcome a new baby.

Every birth story is unique, and I bring my experience, education, and heartfelt dedication to ensure that each family feels seen, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.
